Commissioner, Nidhi Pandey, IIS
Dear Students, Teachers, and Parents,
On the momentous occasion of Foundation Day 2024 of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), I extend my heartfelt greetings to each one of you. From its humble beginnings in 1963, KVS has grown into an inspiring institution of excellence in school education. This remarkable journey continues to evolve, driven by an unwavering spirit of innovation and progress.

Shaik Tajuddin
Deputy Commissioner
Kendriya Vidyalayas are conspicuous centers of excellence, creativity and learning that mould the students of today into responsible citizens of tomorrow. They offer an environment conducive to not only cognitive development, but also building character and thus creating holistic individuals equipped with key 21st century skills. The teachers are the most substantial resources of the Vidyalaya, who are readily adapting to the demands of an ever changing educational scenario where the traditional is constantly replaced by the modern. They keep abreast of the latest changes, be it pedagogy or technology, with a view to providing the best to their students. Students flower and flourish under the affectionate care and guidance of the mentors, who guide and assist them to confront and address real challenges in life. They learn, new domains and concepts and to wield their faculties to come up with ideas that can change the society. The vision of Kendriya Vidyalayas is to develop an equitable and vibrant knowledge society as envisioned by the NEP 2020.We aim to develop human beings capable of rational thought and action, possessing compassion and empathy, courage and resilience, scientific temper and creative imagination with ethical values. The multi- cultural and linguistic diversity of the Kendriya Vidyalayas, where children come from diverse backgrounds broadens their horizon and offers them an exposure that surpasses mere textbook learning. Thus children celebrate various festivals and enjoy art and music of different cultures. This sensitizes them to the rich cultural diversity of India. In this journey of self - enrichment and enhancement, the role of parents, teachers and the other mentors of the Vidyalaya are equally important. Let us march together into the future, with courage and conviction. In the words of Swami Vivekananda, Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached.

Educational Institutions are a plenty, all of which impart a learning, but it is our prayer that our students go out into the world with the strength, not only to reach and excel in their professional aspirations, but to remain beautiful human beings. A school is always a ‘world in miniature’ where one receives a ‘training for life’, where effective, meaningful and joyful learning takes place. It is here that we begin to learn our lessons of life – to accept challenges, face competition, defeat and failure, and rejoice at victory and triumph. To excel from the heights of achievements, requires re-dedication to our ideals as an institution. A famous philosopher said “Life is a state of continued becoming, with a goal in front and not behind”. How true! The time has come for us – not to rest on past laurels – but to pursue with renewed vigour, newer, higher targets. Start by doing what is necessary then what is possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible. Every day brings forth new opportunities to learn more.We are on a journey to making education more meaningful and engaging inside the classroom. We believe that each child is unique and gifted and a child’s capacity to learn and create is infinite. The aim of the Kendrya Vidyalaya is to provide unmatched qualitative education par excellence: to develop the best that is latent in children and to encourage the child to explore and revel in the joy of learning. The endeavour is to retain smiles on the faces of the children, channelise the energies of youthfulness while sensing the beautiful connectivity between the heart, character, nation and the world. Our focus is to train children to become autonomous learners. Our earnest effort is to provide students with an education that allows them to recognize and realize their 'dreams' and skills and to be able to ignite the passion to excel. Students will be given an environment wherein their attributes and strengths can be given a fillip, their creativity developed and spontaneity nurtured. They develop into adults endowed with analytical and logical thinking, a mind that is curious and inquisitive and a sensitivity that makes them humane in thought, word and deed. We are an infinitesimally small speck in the huge ocean of the K.V.S. that stabilised to an even keel and then started surging ahead on all fronts. It is a unique forum for all of us which gives an opportunity to give free and frank expression to our thoughts and vision. It not only widens our mental horizon but also adds a lot to the development of our total personality. I wish to convey my thanks and good wishes to all who are associated with this great venture directly and indirectly in this creative endeavour.
